Mutual funds explained through your goals
Understand SIP, lump sum and systematic withdrawal in plain language, along with the risks and the limits of any illustration.
At a glance
What it is
A pooled portfolio managed by a fund house. Finvest Capital works here as a distributor, helping you understand options and complete paperwork correctly.
Who it may help
People investing towards a stated goal, comfortable that values move both ways, who want contributions kept consistent through a full market cycle.
What to watch
Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Returns are not fixed, costs and exit loads are set out in the scheme documents, and we never take custody of your money.
Decision aid
Sorting money by when it is needed
Time horizon shapes how much market movement money can tolerate. No split is shown here, because any percentage would imply a model portfolio that has not been assessed for your circumstances.
- Money needed within three years
- Stability matters more than growth here. Money with a short deadline is usually kept where a market fall close to the date cannot force a bad decision.
- Money needed in three to seven years
- A middle horizon. There is some room for market movement, but the closer the date comes the less useful volatility becomes.
- Money needed after seven years
- Time is the advantage. A longer horizon allows more tolerance for market movement, provided the contributions actually continue through the falls.
How it works
- 01
Understand
We talk through the goal, the time available and how much market movement that money can tolerate.
- 02
Plan
Options are explained in plain language, including costs, risk levels and what the scheme documents say.
- 03
Proceed
You decide. Paperwork is completed through approved channels and the plan is revisited as circumstances change.
